The landscape protection area Wiehagener Wassertal with 21  hectares is located in the municipality of Wickede (Ruhr) in the district of Soest . The area was designated as a landscape protection area (LSG) by the district council in 2006 with the landscape plan V Ense-Wickede . The LSG is north of Wickede. The LSG borders directly on the Wickede residential area and the Westerhaar industrial park.

The LSG comprises an Ice Age dry valley with the Wiehagener Wassertal brook and a distinctive, characteristic relief. In the LSG there are open land areas with grassland and arable land. In the southern area, the LSG has a small structure with rows of trees, hedges, bushes and fruit trees.

Protection purpose

As with other LSGs, the designation was carried out in the landscape plan area to maintain or restore the efficiency of the natural balance; because of the diversity, uniqueness or beauty of the landscape or because of its special importance for recreation.

Legal regulations

As in the other landscape protection areas in the landscape planning area, the LSG prohibits the construction of structures. The Lower Nature Conservation Authority can issue exceptional permits for buildings of all kinds. As in the other landscape protection areas, the LSG prohibits the creation of Christmas trees , ornamental branches and tree nursery cultures . It z. B. also forbidden to remove or damage trees, shrubs, hedges, field or riparian trees.
