The Landsverk L-62 was an anti-aircraft tank from the 1940s.

history

The Landsverk L-62 Anti II , also Landsverk Anti-II or Luftvärnskanonvagn L-62 Anti II , was a Swedish tank development from 1940 to 1942. It was developed from the Landsverk L-60 (see also 38M Toldi ). The hull was lengthened and the 40 mm Bofors air defense cannon 40 ItK / 38 was installed as armament in an open top turret. Finland bought six of these tanks in 1942, which were assigned to the tank brigade in May of that year . The Finns used the tanks until 1966.

The tank was exported to Hungary , where it was further developed into the 40M Nimrod . On the basis of the acquired license rights, 135 Nimrod tanks were built at MÁVAG from 1940 .

Calls

During the fighting in the summer of 1944, the Finns shot down eleven Soviet planes with these six tanks , thus preventing attacks on the tank brigade.
