The Landweibels-Huus on Schaaner Landstrasse

The Landweibels-Huus (in Liechtenstein vernacular: sLandweibels-Huus ) is a group of houses in Schaan . It is located 100 meters from St. Peter's Church on Landstrasse 71-75 in Schaan. The Schaan fort from Roman times is also near the Landweibels-Huus.

The oldest part of the Landweibels-Huus was built in 1562. It is believed that the residential tower was built for the then Landammann Hans Schierscher. The house was given its current name in the 19th century from Landweibel Ludwig Beck (1844–1928). He lived in the southern part and used its room as a police post. The last resident was called "s Dampferle" and lived in the house until 1983.

Today the building offers an insight into the living and living situation at that time and has been a listed building since 1988 .

Intensive renovation work was carried out in 2006. Since then, the Landweibels-Huus has been open to the public from Friday to Sunday in the summer months and is used for art exhibitions. From May to October guided tours are offered in the Landweibels-Huus.
