The long-wave transmitter Tipaza is a transmission system of the Algerian national broadcaster ENRS , which broadcasts the French-language channel Chaîne 3 . The long wave transmitter , which is located about 4 kilometers southeast of Tipaza , transmits on the frequency 252 kHz with an output of 1500 kW (750 kW at night). As a transmitting antenna, he uses a 355-meter-high, guyed steel framework mast, which is likely to be the second tallest structure in Algeria and one of the tallest in Africa.
