Laoutelle

The Laoutelle was a fishing vessel used by the fishermen of Sicily until the end of the 19th century .

The two-masted ship with the characteristic back falling stem was more than 20 meters long and has been with Latin sails , Dhausegel , staysail sailed and drivers mast. The crew consisted of up to 6 men. With the advent of motorized fishing trawlers, the latoutelle disappeared at the beginning of the 20th century.
