Lapsology

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Lapsologie is a branch of linguistics , in particular the Psycholinguistik that deals with the errors in language learning. Her interest is not so much in the motoric difficulties in coping with a foreign language (see accent ), based on the control of lips, tongue, palate and larynx, but rather in the cultural and psychological background of a "lapsus" (Latin: "error") ). (See e.g. Germanism , Anglicism ). Since such errors often occur not only when learning a foreign language, but also when trying to overcome the barrier from an originally learned dialect , regiolect or sociolect to the standard language and written language within the mother tongue , lapsology is also important as a branch of sociolinguistics .
