Larry Robinson is an American amateur astronomer and asteroid explorer. He is a member of the American Association of Amateur Astronomers , where he acts as a coordinator for the observation of asteroids. He makes his observations with his private Sunflower Observatory ( IAU code 739) in Olathe , Kansas .
As part of his observations, he discovered a total of 17 asteroids between 1999 and 2001.
The asteroid (18873) Larryrobinson was named after him.
