Career

The defender Lars Tabert began his career at Berliner SC Preussen . In the 1986/87 season he played 35 games in the 2nd Bundesliga North and scored one goal. The Prussians were first champions of the 2nd Bundesliga North this season and were promoted to the Bundesliga through relegation . However Tabert subsequently moved to the Oberliga Herford EC and then during the 1987-88 season to the second division Neuss SC . In 1988 Tabert first moved to league rivals SC Solingen , who, however, had to stop playing during the season.

Then Tabert moved to the upper division 1. EHC Hamburg , with whom he was runner-up in the Oberliga Nord in 1989, but missed promotion to the 2. Bundesliga North in the following relegation. In the summer of 1989 Tabert moved to the upper division EC Kassel , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga North a year later. In 1991 Tabert then went to the Hessian rival EC Bad Nauheim to return to Herford EC in 1992 in the Oberliga Nord.

The Herford EG had to stop playing in 1994 due to insolvency and the club was dissolved. Lars Tabert then switched to EC Harz-Braunlage , which also had to stop playing in 1995 and was re-established as Braunlager EHC / Harz . With the new club Tabert rose in 1996 to the 2nd division north. During the 1997/98 season he switched to EC Devils Königsborn before ending his career at the end of the season.
