Load collective
A load spectrum or stress spectrum is a data set that depicts the stress on a component or a machine over a certain period of time. Load spectra are used in mechanical engineering for a stable design . In a load spectrum, the course of the acting force or the occurring stress is determined over time. The visualization of this data is also known as the stress-time function .
In reality, oscillating loads rarely occur in one stage, i.e. with only a single amplitude . As a rule there are many different amplitudes without a fixed order.
If you evaluate the stress-time function, you get a description of this function in the form of the frequencies of the loads that have occurred . So-called counting methods are used to carry out this evaluation . The representation of the amplitude over the cumulative frequency is common.
