The Lattlschießen is a popular playing and training form from the curling .

Example of lattl shooting

description

For lattl shooting you need two supports made of metal and a wooden slat (2.80 m long) that is attached to the supports. Movable numbers are screwed onto the wooden slat. For example, from left to right there are the numbers 1–9, in the middle the number ten is specially marked. The point of the game is to hit the middle, i.e. 10, as precisely as possible. An ordinary ice stick is used for shooting. The points through which the ice stock runs are then counted (e.g. through the 7 or the 8). As a form of training, the shooter can still be required to put the ice stick in the middle target rings on the field. The points from the shot through the crossbar and the points from the target rings are then added together.

Lattlschießen is often held as a fun event ( Gaudi ) or at club championships. Concentration and precision are required for cross- bar shooting .

Event

Lattlschießen can be held on natural ice , in an ice rink or on an asphalt track in summer.
