Laurie Nunn

Laurie Nunn (* in London ) is a British theater and screenwriter. Her best-known work is the British Netflix television series Sex Education .

Life

Laurie Nunn grew up in the UK until the age of 14. Together with three siblings, she then moved to Melbourne with her Australian mother . In Australia, she graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts School of Film and TV and moved back to the UK at the age of 20, where she completed a Masters in Screenwriting at the National Film and Television School from 2011 to 2012 .

Her first major TV work Sex Education for the streaming provider Netflix made it to the final of the Rose d'Or Festival 2019 in the Comedy Drama and Sitcom category . In their second season she was responsible as an executive producer in addition to the script.
