Laymyethna Temple
The Laymyetnta Temple is a Buddhist temple in Mrauk U , Myanmar . It was built in 1430 under King Minsawmon .
description
The temple is about 50 m northwest of the Htukannthein temple . The floor plan is square with arched entrances in the main directions. In the center is an octagonal pillar with a Buddha statue on each side. In the outer wall opposite are twenty niches that also contained statues of Buddha. This gives you the mythical number of the 28 last Buddhas .
In the middle of the roof sits a bell-shaped stupa with a mushroom-shaped hat . The four corners crown smaller stupas that are very similar to the central one.
