Lazarica - court church of Prince Lazars in Kruševac

The court chapel of Prince Lazars , called Lazarica , in Kruševac ( Serbia ) is a building of the Morava school . Built around 1377, the building is one of the earliest works and style-defining for the single-dome structures in the Morava style. The predecessor building is considered to be that of Tsar Stefan Uroš IV. Dušan built around 1350 in the St. Nicholas Church in the Archangel monastery near Prizren . The church is characterized by its colored facade and rich architectural decorations. Nothing has been preserved from the frescoes inside. The church, consecrated to the Holy First Martyr Stephen , belongs to the Kruševac eparchy of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
