Le Relais is a winter sports area in the Canadian province of Québec . It is located in the Laurentine Mountains in the parish of Lac-Beauport , about 15 km north of the city of Québec .

The area on the Montagne des Ormes extends up to a height of 429 m, with the maximum difference in altitude being 205 m. There are 29 ski slopes on an area of 70 hectares. They are accessed by five ski lifts , a chair lift and two treadmills. All slopes can be artificially snowed and are illuminated at night. About half of the slopes are considered challenging due to the steepness of the terrain. There are three fun parks . Le Relais is also home to the Center national acrobatique Yves Laroche , a national training center for freestyle skiing (with a water jump for summer use).

In the winter of 1933/34 there were plans to set up a winter sports area on the Abraham Plain in Québec. The Norwegian ski pioneer Herman Smith-Johannsen suggested an area north of the city instead, as it seemed more suitable to him. The site was purchased in 1936 for $ 1,000 .
