Learning Resource Server Medicine
The Learning Resource Server Medicine (LRSMed) is a catalog of electronic teaching and learning modules for studying human medicine and dentistry.
history
The LRSMed was developed at the Institute for Medical Informatics, Biometry and Epidemiology (IMIBE) at the University of Duisburg-Essen as part of the joint project Vision 2003 - Teaching and Learning Systems in Medicine: Intelligent & Multimedial. Vision 2003 was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in the funding program for new media in education with the number 08NM057I. Vision 2003 ran from January 1, 2001 to December 31, 2003.
content
LRSMed administers free, web-based teaching and learning modules for the study of medicine and the study of dentistry . These are described using a quasi-standard of metadata for teaching and learning modules, the IMS Learning Resource Meta-data Information Model. The user can use selected features to search for entries in the LRSMed. These characteristics include the medical specialty, the type of application and the language of the module.
was standing
The LRSMed is supervised at the Institute for Medical Information Processing, Biometry and Epidemiology (IBE) of the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich (LMU) (as of July 2013). 1632 free teaching and learning modules are registered in LRSMed (as of August 7, 2013).
