Lee Man Tat (* 1929 in Macau , Chinese:李文李文; Pinyin: Lǐ Wenda) is in Hong Kong living entrepreneur and chairman of themselves family-owned Chinese sauces and spice manufacturer Lee Kum Kee . Forbes estimated his net worth at $ 17.1 billion in 2019, making him one of the richest people in Hong Kong. He also owns the building at 20 Fenchurch Street in London .

Life

Lee was born in Macau and grew up in Jiangmen in the province of Guangdong on. He is the grandson of Lee Kum-sheung , the 1888 in Zhuhai , the oyster sauce invented and sauces manufacturer Lee Kum Kee founded. He started working there in 1952 to help his father, Lee Shiu Nan , run the family business. In 1972 he took over the management of the company. In 1986 there was a legal battle with his brother over control of the company. In the end he bought 40% of the company's shares from his brother. Today the company sells sauces and spices in over 100 countries.

He is married and has five children. His children work for the family business.
