The Legnano Frogs (formerly also Busto Arsizio Frogs and Gallarate Frogs ) are an Italian American football team from Legnano .
history
The Frogs were founded in 1977 by some young people who were interested in this "new" sport. The club entered the league in 1980. The club experienced its most successful period from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s, when it won the Italian Super Bowl six times (1984, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1994, 1995) and the Eurobowl in 1989 . Furthermore, the Frogs reached third place in the Eurobowl in 1988 and were finalists in 1990. With a total of 11 finals for the Italian championship, they are the second most successful club in Italy after the Bergamo Lions .
At the beginning of the new millennium, the sporting success ended and at times no men's team could be registered for the league.
