The basic training, as described in the training scale, mainly includes the imparting of knowledge and skills including the ability to understand and implement the help of people, i.e. to accept them. The performance training essentially includes the development and further development of physical and psychological performance as well as the adaptation of the organism to high and highest performance. “Performance training means the adaptation of the entire organism, especially the musculoskeletal system of the cardiovascular system, oxygen supply, energy and nutrient supply, thermoregulation , water electrolyte balance and the psyche to the requirements of a (high) competitive athlete. Performance training of the horse always includes the repetition of loads and targeted overloading to improve conditional, coordinative and psychological performance and fitness . a. the physical abilities (strength, endurance, speed) and flexibility of the horse are optimized.
