Leo Held (Judoka)

Leo Held (* 1963 ) is a German former judoka and today's judo trainer.

His greatest successes as an active athlete include the German championship title in 1986 and third place at the championships a year earlier.

As a trainer, he coached the Swiss national judo team from 1996 to 2008 , with Sergei Aschwanden winning the bronze medal at the 2008 Olympic Games under him . In 2008 he was therefore voted Swiss Trainer of the Year .
