The Leonhard Wagner Realschule (LWRS for short) is a Realschule in Schwabmünchen, Bavaria . It is named after the calligrapher Leonhard Wagner . The school used to be part of a comprehensive school and has been independent again since July 31, 1993.
history
In 1958, a state secondary school for girls was established in Schwabmünchen. Four years later, boys were also allowed to attend middle school. In 1968, planning began to build a secondary school. The comprehensive school in Schwabmünchen was opened in 1971, and the secondary school was set up there. With the completion of the two triple gyms, the construction of the comprehensive school was completed in 1975. The comprehensive school was closed on July 31, 1993, and the secondary school became independent again. In 1997, the district took over the administration of material costs and began renovation work a year later. In the new millennium, the school moved into the new secondary school area in the school center. In 2002 the Schwabmünchen secondary school had six levels. The last four-year class left school in 2007.
In 2004, the then headmaster caused a sensation nationwide because he had oversized T-shirts distributed to underclad schoolgirls. He argued that the tight clothing had distracted others - especially male classmates - from class.
