Leonti of Rostov
Leonti was Bishop of Rostov from 1051 to 1070/1077 at the latest.
Leonti was probably of Greek origin. After 1031 he was a monk in the Kiev Pechersk Lavra . He became Bishop of Rostov probably before 1051. Leonti was driven from Rostov by parts of the population. Later he seems to have worked again in Rostov. He probably died between 1070 and 1077.
Leonti is buried in the Assumption Cathedral in Rostov.
