Leopold Eckhart (politician, 1905)

Leopold Eckhart (born May 18, 1905 in Gansbach ; † August 2, 1990 in St. Pölten ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and farmer. From 1960 to 1962 he was a member of the Austrian National Council .

Life

Eckhart attended a three-class elementary school and the agricultural winter school. He took over his parents' farm as a farmer in 1931. In 1923 he joined the Social Democratic Party, in 1950 he became local party chairman of the SPÖ Gansbach. He represented the SPÖ between June 13, 1960 and December 14, 1962 in the National Council.
