Leopold Kern (politician, 1918)

Leopold Kern (born September 10, 1918 in St. Georgen am Steinfelde , † March 18, 2005 in St. Pölten ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer . Kern was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1962 to 1983 .

Kern worked as a farmer. He was awarded the professional title of Economics Council. He also worked as a farmer's union chairman and deputy farmer's union chairman of the Lower Austrian farmers' union, was a member of the municipal council of St. Georgen am Steinfeld and from 1955 councilor of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Agriculture . Within the party, he was active as the main district party leader of the ÖVP St. Pölten from 1965, and he was also a member of the state party leadership of the ÖVP Lower Austria. Kern represented the ÖVP in the National Council between December 14, 1962 and May 18, 1983.
