Leopold Saar

Leopold Saar (* around 1875 in Dresden ; † after 1902) was a German theater actor .

Life

Saar was active on the stage from 1898 and was engaged in Zurich for a year. In 1900 he joined the Association of City Theater in Riga, where he made his debut as “Bellmaus” in “Journalists”. It represents the subject of young lovers and outdoorsmen and is also used effectively in comic roles. Some of his popular performances include: “Bleichenwang”, “Schüler” in “Faust”, “Lanzelot Gobbo”, “Feldt” in “Veilchenfresser”, “Adhemar” in “Cyprienne” etc.
