Les Musées de la civilization
Les Musées de la civilization is a museum association in the city of Québec . It includes four state museums with historical and cultural collections and a conservation center. It was founded in 2013 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Musée de la civilization, one of the most important museums in Canada . With the museum association, the affiliated museums were placed under a joint management and have since appeared uniformly.
The following institutions are affiliated:
- Musée de la civilization : the cultural history of Québec and the indigenous people, plus temporary exhibitions on various topics
- Musée de l'Amérique francophone : Presentation of the French culture of North America
- Musée de la place Royale : history of the Place Royale (oldest part of the city)
- Maison historique Chevalier : 18th century home decor
- Center national de conservation et d'études des collections: Conservation and study center
In the 2013/14 fiscal year, the four museums counted a total of 913,313 visitors.
