Lesbian organization Switzerland

The Lesbian Organization Switzerland (acronym: LOS ) is an umbrella organization of regional lesbian groups and individual lesbians and the counterpart to the gay association Pink Cross . The LOS thus takes on the lobbying work of the affiliated lesbian groups on a national level and is thus the most important interest group for lesbians in Switzerland. The association was founded in December 1989.

Content and projects (selection)

Together with Pink Cross, she organized demonstrations on the Bundesplatz in Bern in 1998 for the explicit mention of sexual orientation (“way of life”) in the anti-discrimination article in the revised Federal Constitution . Together with the partner organization Pink Cross, she organized support for the partnership law of the canton of Zurich, adopted by the sovereign in 2002, and for the partnership law adopted at national level in 2005 , which equates same-sex couples with married couples in essential points.

With Pink Cross, she runs a legal aid fund in order to be able to financially support any legal disputes in the gay or lesbian area.
