Lettre Ulysses Award

The Lettre Ulysses Award for the Art of Reportage was a literary prize for the art of reportage that was awarded annually in Berlin from 2003 to 2006. The donor was the German Aventis Foundation until 2006 , after this funding failed to materialize, no prize has been awarded since 2007. The Lettre International Award Foundation continues to operate as a non-profit GmbH under the management of Frank Berberich, also editor-in-chief and managing director of Lettre International Verlags GmbH.

There are three price levels: 1. Price: $ 50,000; 2nd Prize: $ 30,000; 3rd Prize: $ 20,000.

2003

The award speech was given by Ryszard Kapuściński .

2004

The award speech was given by Abdelwahab Meddeb .

2005

The award speech was given by Sven Lindqvist .

2006

The Chinese Zhou Qing was one of the other four finalists .
