Levada do Furado
The Levada do Furado is a levada on the Portuguese Atlantic island of Madeira .
It begins in Ribeiro Frio and runs towards Portela, is at an altitude of 900 m and is therefore relatively high. The hike along this levada is one of the most famous tours on the island. The levada, which runs mainly through dense forest, leads through several tunnels and also offers views of the north coast of the island and the sea.
