Lucius Saenius

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lucius Saenius ( Balbinus ?) Was a Roman politician and senator .

Saenius was probably the son of a senator of the same name, but he probably did not hold a higher senatorial post. He was considered one of the men who owed Octavian everything and who let him use him as a tool. In the year 30 BC Saenius became a suffect consul . The Lex Saenia is connected to his name , through which Augustus was able to admit plebeian families to the patrician class.
