Leymann Inventory of Psychological Terror
The Swedish work psychologist Heinz Leymann developed the LIPT questionnaire . LIPT stands for Leymann Inventory of Psychological Terror .
construction
The instrument performs a total of 45 actions. As bullied applies after LIPT a person with one or more of the 45 actions have been harassed at least once a week and at least a year. These actions are divided into five categories:
- Attacks on the ways to communicate, e.g. B. interrupt someone, yell at them
- Attacks on social relationships, e.g. B. Forbid someone to talk to you
- Attacks on the quality and perspectives of work, e.g. B. hurtful criticism of work, giving someone meaningless tasks or deliberately overwhelming them
- Attacks on social reputation, e.g. B. Spread rumors, spin intrigues
- Attacks on physical integrity and mental well-being, e.g. B. beat, sexually molest, insult or abuse someone.
Completeness of the items
According to Leymann, the 45 actions come from 300 individual interviews between 1981 and 1984. After no further actions came to light in the interviews in 1984, the interviews were broken off. A total of 45 items resulted.
Based on numerous seminars and discussions with works councils and those affected by bullying, German academics came up with over 100 different acts of bullying without claiming to be exhaustive.
