Agricultural and forestry business information system

The agricultural and forestry business information system ( LFBIS ) is the Austrian variant of the nationwide unambiguous identification of agricultural and forestry businesses: Each business is assigned a seven-digit number, with the last digit being a check digit, which can be used to identify it nationwide. The assignment and maintenance of this number is carried out by Statistics Austria and is regulated within the framework of the LFBIS law and ordinances.

Use u. a .: Statistical recording of agricultural and forestry data, tax calculation of agricultural and / or forestry operations, company identification in the context of the documentation of veterinary drug application to livestock and delivery to livestock owners as well as the animal health service (TGD), funding programs by Agrarmarkt Austria (AMA).
