Li Dawei

Li Dawei ( Chinese  李 大卫 , Pinyin Lǐ Dàwèi ; * 1963 in Beijing ) is a Chinese writer .

Life

With a degree in American literature from the Beijing College of Education in 1985, his first poems appeared in the same year under his pseudonym Weiwei. Two years later he was given the opportunity to travel to the United States for the first time as part of a scholarship to exchange ideas with other writers of his generation on an international level.

From 1989 onwards he has been working professionally with art and literary theory. In 1996 he published his first novel, Der Traumammler (Ji meng aihaozhe) . He currently lives in Los Angeles in the United States and works as a freelance writer a. a. for several Chinese-language magazines and newspapers, including Jintian (Today), Caijing and Ouline Magazin, published in Germany.
