libHaru is a free , cross-platform C - program library purely for generating PDF files, it does not implement read or editing skills. At the moment (as of 2014) there are no plans to implement more than this writing ability. The library is currently (as of 2014) as the only open source library on this topic in active development and is widely used, the library is also used by the German tax office in the tax office software Elster . libHaru can be linked statically as well as dynamically.
Binding options are provided for LibHaru for integration / use in other common development environments Ruby , Embarcadero Delphi / Free Pascal and C # (Microsoft .NET platform), see the information on the Haru Sourceforge site.
