Light and truth

The St. John's Lodge "Light and Truth" is a Masonic lodge in Hamburg. She is a member of the Grand State Lodge of Freemasons of Germany (GLLFvD) and thus also of the United Grand Lodges of Germany (VGLvD). She has the matriculation number 219 of the GLLFvD or the matriculation number 717 of the VGLvD.

history

The Johannisloge Light and Truth was founded on August 29, 1925 in Hamburg. Their first lodge master was Harry Puls. In 1935, the lodge shared the fate of all other Masonic lodges in Germany and was forcibly closed by decree of the Reich Ministry of the Interior. The closing ceremony of the GLLFvD took place on July 14, 1935.

After the end of the Second World War, the Masonic work of the Johannisloge Light and Truth was resumed on April 2, 1947 in Hamburg .

Current

The Johannisloge Light and Truth currently has around 20 members aged between 22 and 80 years. The meetings always take place on Tuesdays in the lodge house of the Provincial Lodge of Lower Saxony in Hamburg.
