Liebermeister rule
The Liebermeister rule states that in adult fever curves, the pulse beats increase at a rate of around eight beats per minute for every degree Celsius.
It is named after the German internist Carl von Liebermeister . An exception to this rule is a comparatively slow pulse, especially in yellow fever, which is known as the Faget symptom (pulse-temperature dissociation). Jean Charles Faget (1818–1884) characterized this symptom in 1859.
