The Liechtensteinschanze was a ski jumping hill on Semmering , Austria .

The Liechtensteinschanze was built in 1912 according to the suggestions of Roger de Riedmatten and the plans of Gustav Jahn at a cost of 44,000 crowns . The inrun tower was made of wood. In 1932 the ski jump was extended and expanded.

During the Second World War the hill was badly affected. After the war, however, it was brought back into shape. The last international competition on the hill took place in January 1967. The ski jump was torn down in the 1960s.

Trivia

On today's golf course of the Südbahnhotel in the immediate vicinity there was an even older ski jumping hill, which was also torn down.
