Lienhart Astl
Lienhart Astl (also Leonhard / Leonhart and Astel * 2nd half of the 15th century; † probably after 1523) was a documentary undetectable carver and cask painters of the late Gothic period .
He presumably headed a workshop in Gmunden between 1505 and 1523 and became a synonym for a group of stylistically related works in Upper Austria and Styria . His name can be found on the Marien Altar in the parish church in Hallstatt.
