LIGNA

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The LIGNA ( ligna lat. = The woods) sometimes also Ligna Plus ( Ligna + ) is an exhibition for wood processing and woodworking. It takes place in odd years on the premises of the Hanover Fair . The organizer is the Deutsche Messe AG , co-organizer is the Woodworking Machinery Association in the VDMA eV

prehistory

The Ligna took place until 1975 as part of the Hanover Fair . The large amount of space required led to the idea of outsourcing this area to a separate trade fair event. As a result, the Ligna Plus was created in 1975. Since then, the fair has taken place every two years.
