Lily scepter star in the coat of arms of Götterswickerhamm

The lily scepter star is a coat of arms figure in heraldry and is also described as a carbuncle star or carbuncle wheel . The lily scepter wheel , or scepter wheel for short , or lily reel and glaive reel also designate this figure. A wheel with mostly eight lily sceptres from a scar is shown striving towards the edge of the shield , which can occasionally be studded with balls on the bars. The scepter ends in the eponymous lily . The tinging follows the heraldic rules. The number eight is regarded as the standard, other “spoke” numbers should be mentioned in the description of the coat of arms . The hub can only be a round opening or it can be set with a carbuncle ( gemstone ).

In the large Prussian coat of arms , a black lily scepter star for the Duchy of Kleve is set in red on field 17 .
