Limitation

The term limitation (from the Latin limes "limit") denotes:

  • generally a limitation or restriction
  • the determination of the boundaries of an ancient settlement, more generally the ancient art of surveying, see Limitation (surveying)
  • understood the limitation of the exchange of factors in production or of goods in consumption to a fixed exchange ratio, see Limitation (economics)
  • one of the pure intellectual terms summarized in Immanuel Kant's "table of categories", see Limitation (philosophy)
