Lindemannstrasse 66 and 68

The listed semi-detached house at Lindemannstrasse 66 and 68 on the corner of Schumannstrasse in Düsseldorf-Düsseltal was built in 1925 by Hermann vom Endt in the style of homeland security architecture.

description

The building with a gable roof is divided into four axes. The two axes on the left are occupied by house number 66 and are set in front like a risk. There are twin windows on the upper floors; in the curved gable two smaller windows and a round window.

House 68 is two-story and has a five-sided corner tower.

Art historical significance

“In terms of architectural history, the house is part of the Lower Rhine variant of the Heimat style. This style is characterized by the use of traditional, landscape-typical materials, especially brick, in connection with floor plans that are appropriate to the respective purpose of the building. "
