Architecture and history

New construction of the senior center, 2017

The two-story half - timbered house was north of the Tränketor outside the city and originally belonged to the complex of the Schwarzer Bär inn. A Robert Sonnenberg had acquired the inn and when he sold the Black Bear again, he built his own inn on its farm, which operated under the name Sonnenberg's Logirhaus . The building was covered with a gable roof. Later the innkeeper Emil Deubel took over the farm and continued to run it as the Lindenhof. The last landlord was Rudolf Deubel. The houses in the vicinity stood empty for a long time and were demolished in 2003. The Lindenhof was initially retained, it was planned to include it in a planned new development. However, on the grounds that it was in disrepair, the Lindenhof was demolished in September 2007. The senior citizen center Haus am Thiepark of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt was built on the property .

In the local monument register , the Lindenhof was listed as a residential building under registration number 094 56041 as a monument . Presumably by mistake it is currently (as of 2016) still listed as a monument.
