The line 1 is a metro line of Baku Metro in the Azerbaijani capital Baku . It is also known as the red line . The route includes 13 stations.

history

Line 1 was opened as the first line of the Baku Metro on November 6, 1967 with the almost ten kilometer long section Bakı Soveti (today İçərişəhər ) to Nəriman Nərimanov .

Routing

Line 1 runs between the stations İçərişəhər and Həzi Aslanov . You can change from station 28 May in the connected station Cəfər Cabbarlı to the light green signposted branch line of line 2 to station Şah İsmail Xətai .

Between stations 28 May and Həzi Aslanov, line 1 shares the route with line 2, the so-called Green Line , which comes from Dərnəgül station . In 2013, the construction of a tunnel connection between the stations Həzi Aslanov and Şah İsmail Xətai began in order to be able to operate line 2 independently of the route of line 1 in the future.
