The line 2 is a metro line of Baku Metro in the Azerbaijani capital Baku . It is also known as the Green Line . The route comprises 19 stations and two more stations on a branch line.

history

Line 2 was opened as the second line of the Baku Metro in 1976.

It is planned to expand Line 2 to a ring line by 2030.

Routing

Line 2 runs between the Dərnəgül and Həzi Aslanov stations . You can change from station 28 May in the connected station Cəfər Cabbarlı to the light green signposted branch line to station Şah İsmail Xətai .

Between stations 28 May and Həzi Aslanov, Line 2 shares the route with Line 1 , the so-called Red Line , which comes from the İçərişəhər station . In 2013, the construction of a tunnel connection between the stations Həzi Aslanov and Şah İsmail Xətai began in order to be able to operate line 2 independently of the route of line 1 in the future.

At the station Memar Əcəmi may be in the connected station Əcəmi-2 Memar on the line 3 , the so-called purple line , the station Avtovağzal at the bus station operates, to be changed.
