Şah İsmail Xətai (Baku Metro)

Şah İsmail Xətai is a station of the Baku Metro in Baku .

The station was opened on February 22, 1968 together with the section 28 May - Şah İsmail Xətai. Since the opening of the Cəfər Cabbarlı station on December 27, 1993, the light green signposted connection as an extension of the Green Line (Line 2) has led from the terminus Şah İsmail X Endtai to the Cəfər Cabbarlı station, where there is a change to the Green Line at the connected station 28 May can. The station was originally called Shaumyan and was named after Shah Ismail I when it opened in 1993 .

In 2013, the construction of a tunnel connection between the stations Həzi Aslanov and Şah İsmail Xətai began in order to be able to operate line 2 independently of the route of the red line (line 1) in the future .
