Link management

Link management is a discipline of operational management. The aim of link management is to provide relevant information and data in such a way that they can be accessed with minimal effort. Link management is related to knowledge management , but specializes in optimal access to all documents, information and data that are needed in daily work.

The following levels can be distinguished in link management:

  • individual and shared access to the most important working documents
  • the connection of the work objects with the relevant knowledge and the environment information that support the processing of the object or make it possible at all.

Well-known link management tools are bookmarks or desktop searches .
