Lionel Carley

Lionel Carley (born May 14, 1936 ) is an English music writer.

After studying in the service of the British Foreign Office, Carley began to advocate the music of Frederick Delius at an early age . He has been the archivist of the Delius Trust since 1966, and has also been Advisor to the Trust since 1991 .

Since leaving the diplomatic service, Lionel Carley has intensified his writing as well as his editorial activities.
