history

The duo had their breakthrough with the single "Fairytale" from their debut album "Fabrics of the heart" in 2010, which won the MTV Africa Music Award in Lagos in 2010. According to the duo, the name describes their style of music: "Liquid" refers to the fact that music shouldn't be constrained and should be able to adapt to its surroundings, while "deep" describes its aspiration to produce substantial and long-lasting music.

The duo met in 2006 in a college in South Africa through mutual friends. Both worked independently as DJs.
