List of public bookcases in Germany
The list of public bookcases in Germany includes public bookcases from all federal states . A public bookcase is a cupboard or cabinet- like storage space with books that is used to offer books free of charge, anonymously and without any formalities for exchange or to take away. As a rule, the public bookcases are freely accessible every day of the year. If this is not the case, this is noted in the country lists in the Comments column. The partial lists do not claim to be complete.
The state lists currently contain 2,017 public bookcases throughout Germany (as of August 28, 2020).
