The mayors of Chernivtsi during the Austrian rule

In the period from 1780 to 1832, so-called city judges presided over Czernowitz . As a rule, they only ran the city for a year or two. Only Josef Hampel (1796–1800 and 1802–1811), Alexander Beldowicz (1811–1817) and the last city judge, Andreas Klug (1817–1832) had a longer term of office.
